Click on Icon for Complete Statistics | QuikPDA© - Personal Data Assistant [Download a demo]: is a subset of QuikPDR & QuikTRK/QuikCAL databases for use on a Palm OS device. QuikPDA utilizes the ODBC connectivity built into QuikTRK/QuikCAL to set and read status and availability, as well as other critical inventory information. The resulting database (in .pdb format) is run as a Palm OS applet that can be read by any simple database application installed on a device such as the Palm III, IIIx, IIIe, IIIxe, IIIc, V, Vx, VII, VIIx, M100, Handspring Visor devices, IBM Workpad devices, Qualcomm PDQ, Symbol SPT1500 and SPT1700 series, Sony Clie and the TRG Pro. It also requires that device be running the Palm OS 3.0 or Higher [Note: Applications have not yet been tested with Palm OS 4.x]. For License Fee see [ Fee ] With the proper permissions, one can read or write new equipment calibration or inventory records with QuikPDA, and then transfer the information back QuikTRK/QuikCAL and/or your enterprise level calibration management system, There is no redundant data entry and no forms necessary. All entries and modifications are date/time stamped, with login, for audit purposes. The hot sync process can be structured to do a bi-directional update on all fields including, calibration cycle, status & availability, as well as new inventory adds. The demo QuikPDA application on our ftp site contains MobileDB Lite for the clicking on the icon, below. Palm OS which is the freeware, lite version of MobileDB. This will allow one to install the demo database application with read-only access. Other database applications such as MobileDB, FileMaker Pro Mobile, HanDBase, JFile, Oracle9i for PDA, Teal, etc... can be used with equal results; Client's choice!
